Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona were big anime fans growing up. The popular Kapamilya love team shared to Hero TV the anime shows that captured their hearts when they were younger.
Janella relayed that she was a big fan of the anime series Mirmo de Pon. The story revolved around a girl named Kaede who discovered a fairy inside the mug. Janella said that she was captivated by the fairies in the show saying, “Sobrang cute kasi nong mga [nila].”
The actress could still remember vividly the story of her favorite anime show. “There was this girl, I remember her name pa, her name is Kaede. She and her friends meron siyang mga maliliit na fairies, kanya-kanya so like personal fairies so lulamabas sila sa mug. Sobrang na-kyutan ako sa story,” she said.
Meanwhile, Elmo Magalona is a big Inuyasha fan. The series was about 15-year-old girl Kagome Higurashi who was dragged into a cursed well and was transported 500 years ago during Japan’s violent Sengoku period. She sought help from a young hybrid dog-demon/human named Inuyasha to collect the shards of a wish-granting jewel called the Shikon Jewel which was shattered.
“I used to watch [Inuyasha] every time I go home after school, [nanonood] ako sa TV and ‘yun ang una kong pinapanood. Actually sa ABS-CBN ko pinapanood ‘yun,” Elmo shared. The actor also relayed to Hero TV that he is a toy collector. “Mga Zoids and stuff, iyon ‘yung mga kino-collect ko na toys before,” he said.
