Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions this July on Cinema One

Cinema One will feature the biggest movies for its avid viewers to enjoy this month of July. The number cable channel in the Philippines and the home of Filipino movies and producer of exceptional independent films, is set to take your movie experience once again to a whole new level and will give you a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Certified blockbuster films are set to rule your weekend starring the brightest stars of this generation. The “Blockbuster Sundays” timeslot will feature the Metro Manila Film Festival entry and the action-packed movie “Ang Panday” starring Coco Martin which will have its replay on July 30 after it first aired on July 1. Horror film lovers are in for a treat as another MMFF entry “Haunted  Forest” is soon to hit your television screens starring Jane Oineza, Maris Racal and Jameson Blake.

Meanwhile, the movie “Siargao” is set to inspire you with a one of a kind love story shot in one of the Philippine’s top tourist destinations. On July 22, Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban are giving you a comic relief with “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes.” Meanwhile, a heartwarming story about a single mom and her daughter titled “Mama’s Girl” is set to move your to tears on July 29.

Your weekdays are sure to be as thrilling as your weekend movie habit as Cinema One will air Cinema One Originals movies. On July 4, “Mariposa” starring Erich Gonzales, Alfred Vargas and Ma. Isabel Lopez will be aired. The movie tells the story of an innocent woman named Maya, who sets a journey into the decaying city of Manila to find her long lost sister. On July 11, the Jericho Rosales and Mercedes Cabral-starrer “Red” will be featured. The movie tells the story of Red, who is a shy orphan who grew up to be the town’s best fixer.

On July 18, “Si Magdalola at ang mga Aso” starring Peewee O'Hara, Rhen Escaño, Gio Gahol, and Josh Bulot will be aired. It tells the story of a drug-dealing and sex-starved goons mistakenly disturb the peaceful lives of a frail witch and her nubile grandchild in a remote town in the mountains. Meanwhile, “Kabisera” starring Joel Torre, Art Acuña, Bing Pimentel, and Meryll Soriano, will air on July 25. It tells the story of a fisherman whose life is set to change as he discovers the power to realize his family’s dreams – a bag of cocaine in the middle of the ocean.

Cinema One will also pay tribute to the one and only movie king Fernando Poe Jr. on the “Hari ng Pinoy Cinema” block every Sunday. The movies to be featured include “Kapag Buhay ang Inutang,” “Iyo ang Tondo, Kanya ang Cavite,” “Ako ang Huhusga,” “Kapag Lumaban ang Api,” and “Kalibre 45.”
