Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga's first movie team up was in Star Cinema's You're My Boss. It was a hit among Pinoy moviegoers and it shattered box-office records.
The film tells the story of a smart and bossy airline company executive named Georgina (Toni Gonzaga) who will do everything to close an important deal with foreign investors. However, the investors wouldn’t negotiate with anyone in their company except for their big boss who was on leave.
In a desperate attempt to win them over, she introduces her assistant Pong (Coco Martin) as the president, and thus begins the pretense that will lead them to discover what’s real and lovable about each other.
During the promotional activities of the film, Coco once admitted that his role was really challenging for him.
Sabi ko nga kay direk, ‘Direk, isang beses niyo pa lang ako nagu-good take kasi parating six takes, five takes.’ Ang dami ko pong natutunan kay Toni and kay direk,” Coco said.
The actor is thankful to Toni for guiding him most especially in his english dialogues.
Catch You're My Boss on Cinema One's "Romance Central" block on November 25, Sunday, at 5PM.
