Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban are set to star in their reunion movie “Exces Baggage" this September. In an exclusive interview with Cinemanews, the lead stars of the film talked about their characters and how they bonded onscreen and offscreen because of the project.

Carlo plays the role of Nix in the movie. “Bale furniture maker siya tapos mga ginagamit niya mga recycle na bakal, ganyan. Perfectionist siya,may mga sine-set siyang standard na pagka hindi nami-meet, na-di-disappoint siya, na-di-depressed so nadadala niya ‘yun sa personal, sa relationship,” Carlo shared.

Meanwhile, Angelica portrays the role of Pia.  “Si Pia kasi independent, alam niya ‘yung gusto niya, parang sabihin mo sa akin gets ko ‘yan, yes or no lang ako, ganon lang siya. Mas extrovert siya, mas parang ako ‘yung mas nag-li-lead kasi ang trabaho ko broker so mas ma-socialize ako sa mga tao, sanay akong lumabas. Parte ng tabaho ko ang dumadaldal,” the actress relayed.

The CarGel love team shared the most challenging scenes for them in the movie. According to Angelica, she had a hard time doing the last scene in the film. “Mahirap siya sa sense na parang roller coaster ‘yung emotions na parang sobrang ang sakit sakit nong eksensa pero hindi mo siya pwedeng iiyak lahat, naka-contain, kasi ganon ka eh, strong ka eh, she stated.

For Carlo, their characters' confrontation scene in the film was the most difficult. “Challenging ang confrontation kasi hindi siya sigawan, mas tahimik,” he stated.

Speaking of exes, the two stars were asked about their advice on how to get rid of the baggages from your exes. “Sa akin panahon, oras talaga. Di mo pwedeng madaliin ‘yun, kailangan mo ng kausap, kailangan mo ng friends, ng family mo,” Carlo said. Angelica added, “Sa akin acceptance muna sa sarili. Tigilan ‘yung pag-blame ng lahat sa ibang tao. Kailangan mong tanggapin sa sarili mo na hindi ka perfect kaya rin siguro nagkaroon ng problema, parte ka rin don, kasi once napatawad mo na ‘yung mistakes mo, mas madali mo na rin siyang mapapatawad,” he said.

Many fans are curious if both have been discussing the possiblity of getting back together. Angelica remarked that she thinks now is not the time to do it since they are promoting a film. “The more siguro na hindi siya pag-usapan naming dalawa, hindi kasi maganda na ang tanda na namin eh. Hindi na kasi maganda na sasaktan pa namin ulit yung isa’t isa or magpapadala kami. Siguro kapag tapos na para wala ng judgement,” she stated.
