The iWant movie Ma has been receiving rave reviews since it debuted in the app. Subscribers could not help but be in awe of how the movie was beautifully written, directed and executed.  The film was screened during the Cinema One Originals Film Festival and even at that time, the movie already made headlines and created a lot of buzz.

In an interview with Cinema One, lead actress Anna Luna shared that she immediately said yes when she was offered a role in the film.

"It was a great experience for me. The first time the script was given to me, I did not think twice and accepted the role. The story was written beautifully and the role was really challenging," she said.

Anna plays the role of a pregnant woman named Cecil who is being chased by three kids eagerly wanting to take her baby and offer it to this “mysterious being” inside a cave in order for them to bring their mother’s life back.

Anna remarked that she feels honored to be part of Kenneth Dagatan's directorial debut. "I already met him few years back and I’m really happy for his debut film. He had a vision of a horror director where he will not just scare you, but he will make sure that you will follow his storytelling until the end. That’s how clear he is when it comes to writing and directing. Thus, I’m really thankful for the trust he gave me being his first muse on his debut film," she said.

The actress admitted that making the movie was really challenging. “The film was really hard to pull off most especially with its bloody scenes. That is why I really appreciate this production. All of us worked as a team,” she shared.

Anna said that being part of the movie was an unforgettable experience. “It felt like we were shooting a college thesis film. That’s how young our team was and i’m really proud that we pulled off something that we will really be proud of,” she said.

Learning that Ma can now be streamed on the iWant app, the actress expressed her elation about this new development. “I was really happy that Ma will be streamed on iWant. It is the first time our local industry will go digital. iWant offers a lot of new stories and concepts that people will surely patronize,” she stated.
