It might be the holiday season already but a good scare this month is still for sure a treat for anyone. This December, Cinema One fans will get the chance to watch horror yet funny flicks that the whole family can enjoy. You will surely have the time of your lives being frightened but laughing out loud at the same time with these not-so-scary movies this December every Thursday at 9PM. 


DEC 06             


Lead Stars: Enchong Dee and Kiray Celis

Director: Miko Livelo

This film tells the story of Gwen and Tonton, childhood sweethearts born and raised in the province. They promise to love, marry and be with each other until death do they part. But they went on separate paths when Gwen left to study in the city. There, she made new friends and eventually forgot all about Tonton. When she made a wish to meet the guy who would die for her. Tonton appeared who still eager to marry her. Will they live happily ever after?

The movie's story centers on mother-reliant and weakling Ramon (Vhong Navarro) who is forced to work as a landscape artist to pay off their family’s debt. In his work field, he meets the lovable femme fatal boss Anna (Solenn Heussaff), who he falls in love head over heels with. Working hard as he tries to impress, Ramon unknowingly digs the graveyard of three victims of injustice whose souls begin to haunt and possess Ramon’s body for vengeance; thus ruining his courtship and eventual relationship with Anna. Meanwhile, to prove the purest of his intentions, Ramon needs to stand up for Anna against her father Don Demetrio (Joey Marquez) who is a syndicate leader.

The movie tells the story of Kimmy Go Dong Hae (Eugene Domingo) and Dora Go Dong Hae (Eugene Domingo), who remain good understanding sisters to each other despite their differences and some instances of misunderstandings. The smart domineering sister Kimmy learns to appreciate her sweet naïve sister Dora no matter how she pisses her off. It seems nothing can test their sisterhood. One day, their father decides to bring them to where their family originated – in Korea. There, their father tells them that one of them should marry a Sang, a well-off clan. Both do not want to be forcibly married, especially now that Kimmy has Barry (Zanjoe Marudo) and Dora has Johnson (Dingdong Dantes). For them, it’s just so preposterous! But while in Korea, things get outrageously strange for the two sisters.

Wanting to save the house of her beloved grandmother from being sequestered, paranormal expert Carmel Monseratt (Kim Chiu) and her “bebest” best friend Jerald “Jeje” Zee-Yan (Ryan Bang) have decided to form a squad of ghost busters with their misfits buddies Bagang (Pepe Herrera), Ponzi (Lassy Marquez), and Basha (Moi Bien) in order to meet both ends. One day, when they no longer have customers due to their modus going viral, Carmel meets a rich architect and dashing eligible bachelor Jack Colmenares (Enzo Pineda) who wants her and her squad to exorcize his house of all the ghosts inside it – real malevolent ghosts! – in exchange of a hefty amount of money. Despite the fear, Carmel and Jeje together with their squad accept the job offer as their last act. Little do they know this will lead to all of them being entrapped inside Jack’s house with extremely pesky and spiteful ghosts, screaming & running for their lives, and with Carmel ultimately facing the horror of the truth long hidden from her.
